Built in 1841, Twin Lights in Chatham originally featured two distinctive brick towers designed to help mariners distinguish this station from other Cape Cod lighthouses. The dual-tower design made it one of the most recognizable navigational aids along the Atlantic coast. Though no longer active, the historic structures remain significant examples of 19th-century lighthouse architecture.

The towers are not open to public climbing, and the site itself is on private property. However, photographers can capture striking exterior views from nearby public areas, with golden hour providing the best lighting conditions.

While visiting Chatham, explore the Chatham Fish Pier, Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, and the charming shops along Main Street. The scenic coastline offers excellent whale watching opportunities seasonally.
