Harbour Town Light
Eastern Sea · South Carolina
Rising above Hilton Head Island’s iconic marina, the Harbour Town Lighthouse has been a beloved South Carolina landmark since its construction in 1970. Unlike traditional navigational aids, it was built as a distinctive centerpiece for the Harbour Town community and has become one of the most photographed structures on the Eastern Seaboard. The red-and-white striped tower is not open to public climbing, but visitors can admire it from the surrounding boardwalk and shops. Golden hour and sunset offer the best photography conditions, with the marina and calibogue Sound as backdrops. Nearby attractions include the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, world-class golf courses, and miles of pristine Atlantic beaches.
