Standing at the entrance to Presque Isle Bay in Pennsylvania, this historic lighthouse has guided mariners since 1857. Originally built to mark the north pier of Erie’s harbor, it remains an active aid to navigation maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard.

The light is notable for its striking position at the end of a long concrete pier, making it one of the most photographed landmarks in the Erie area. The lighthouse is not open to the public, but visitors can view it from the pier and surrounding shoreline.

Golden hour and winter ice formations create the best photography conditions. Nearby, Presque Isle State Park offers beaches, hiking trails, and birding, while downtown Erie features the Maritime Museum and Bicentennial Tower.
