Standing at the confluence of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River, the Cape Vincent Breakwater Lighthouse has guided mariners since 1904. This compact concrete tower was built to mark the village breakwater, helping vessels navigate the busy shipping lanes of the Thousand Islands region.

Now decommissioned, the lighthouse is no longer active and is not open to the public. Visitors can view and photograph it from the nearby shoreline and breakwater. Golden hour and sunset provide the best lighting, with the river and Wolfe Island, Ontario as backdrop.

While in Cape Vincent, explore the Cape Vincent Historical Museum, take the seasonal ferry to Wolfe Island, or enjoy fishing charters on the St. Lawrence River.
