Kaunakakai Range Rear Light
Built in 1912, the Kaunakakai Range Rear Light has guided vessels into Kaunakakai Harbor on Molokai’s south shore for over a century. As a range light, it works in alignment with a front light to help ships navigate the narrow harbor channel — a system still actively aiding navigation today. The light is not open to the public, but visitors can view and photograph the structure from nearby areas along the waterfront. Golden hour offers the best light, with Molokai’s quiet coastline as a backdrop.
