Standing in Keansburg, New Jersey, the Waackaack Rear Range Light was built in 1856 as part of a paired range light system guiding vessels through Raritan Bay. The lighthouse served mariners navigating the busy waters between Sandy Hook and Staten Island for over a century before being deactivated. Though no longer an active aid to navigation, the historic tower remains a quiet landmark in the coastal community.
