Kemah Standpipe

Rising above the coastal landscape of Kemah, Texas, this modern standpipe was constructed in 2006 to serve the community’s water infrastructure needs. Unlike historic standpipes preserved as landmarks, the Kemah Standpipe is a functional, active component of the local water system. Its clean, cylindrical silhouette makes it a recognizable feature of the town’s skyline.

The standpipe is not open to public access or climbing. For photography, golden hour provides the best light, particularly at sunset when the tower contrasts against Gulf Coast skies.
