Cuckolds Light
Cuckold Islets · Maine
Perched on a rocky ledge at the entrance to Boothbay Harbor, Cuckolds Light has guided mariners since 1892. This distinctive fog signal station features a white cylindrical tower rising from a fog signal building, creating one of Maine’s most photogenic lighthouse silhouettes.
The light remains active but is not open to public climbing, as it operates as a private vacation rental. Photographers capture the best shots during golden hour from boat tours departing Boothbay Harbor, or from distant vantage points along the shore.
Nearby Attractions: Explore the charming shops and seafood restaurants of Boothbay Harbor village, visit the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, or take a whale-watching cruise from the harbor.
