Cleveland East Ledge Light

Cleveland East Ledge Light

Buzzards Bay · Massachusetts

Rising from the waters of Buzzards Bay near Falmouth, Massachusetts, Cleveland East Ledge Light has guided mariners since 1943. This distinctive Art Deco-style lighthouse replaced an earlier lightship, featuring a white cylindrical tower atop a concrete caisson foundation. The structure’s modernist design sets it apart from New England’s traditional lighthouse architecture.

The lighthouse remains an active aid to navigation but is not open to public access. Photographers capture the best images during golden hour from Falmouth’s shoreline or by boat tour.

Nearby Attractions: Woods Hole village and its renowned oceanographic institution, Martha’s Vineyard ferry terminal, and the scenic Shining Sea Bikeway offer excellent complementary experiences for lighthouse enthusiasts visiting the Cape Cod area.
