Standing at the entrance to Racine Harbor on Lake Michigan, this historic lighthouse has guided mariners since 1872. The distinctive red tower marks the north breakwater, serving as a vital navigational aid for vessels approaching one of Wisconsin’s busiest harbors. Now deactivated, the light is no longer in service but remains an iconic lakefront landmark.

The lighthouse is not open to the public, and visitors cannot climb the tower. However, it makes an excellent photography subject from the breakwater pier, with golden hour and stormy lake conditions offering the most dramatic shots.
