Racine Harbor Light stands at the entrance to Racine Harbor on Lake Michigan’s western shore. Built in 1839, it served as a critical navigational aid for vessels approaching one of Wisconsin’s busiest 19th-century ports. The lighthouse was decommissioned and is no longer active. The tower is not open to the public and cannot be climbed, but it remains a photogenic landmark visible from the harbor area. Golden hour and early morning light produce the best photographs, especially from the Racine Harbor breakwater. Nearby, visitors can explore Wind Point Lighthouse, stroll the North Beach boardwalk, or visit the Racine Art Museum. The harbor area offers excellent lakefront dining and seasonal charter fishing.
