Originally known as the Kenosha North Pierhead Light, this historic beacon has guided vessels into Kenosha Harbor since 1840, making it one of Wisconsin’s earliest lighthouses. Standing at the end of the north pier, the light served Lake Michigan mariners for generations before being deactivated. Though no longer an active aid to navigation and closed to public access, the pierhead light remains a beloved local landmark and popular photography subject. Golden hour provides stunning shots with Lake Michigan as a backdrop. Visitors can view the structure from the Kenosha HarborPark area. Nearby attractions include the Kenosha Public Museum, the Southport Light Station Museum, and the charming HarborPark boardwalk along the lakefront.
