Los Angeles Harbor Light

Standing guard at the entrance to Los Angeles Harbor since 1913, this historic lighthouse has guided vessels safely into one of America’s busiest ports for over a century. The active aid to navigation sits at the end of the San Pedro Breakwater, its light still serving commercial and recreational mariners today.

Though not open to public access, the lighthouse is best admired from Cabrillo Beach or during a harbor cruise. Golden hour and sunset provide the most dramatic photography conditions, with the light framed against the Pacific horizon.

Nearby, visitors can explore the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, the Korean Friendship Bell, and the bustling Port of Los Angeles, making San Pedro a rewarding destination for maritime history enthusiasts.
