Lions Lighthouse for Sight

California

About this place

Standing at the tip of the Long Beach marina, the Lions Lighthouse for Sight is a working lighthouse completed in 2000 through the fundraising efforts of local Lions Clubs to support vision-related charities. Its distinctive rainbow-colored exterior makes it one of Southern California’s most recognizable modern lighthouses. Though the tower is not open to public climbing, it serves as a striking focal point along the Shoreline Aquatic Park waterfront path. Golden hour and sunset offer the best photography, with the lighthouse framed against the Queen Mary and the Pacific. Nearby attractions include the Aquarium of the Pacific, Shoreline Village, and Rainbow Harbor, all within easy walking distance.
