Located in Arrowsic, Maine, the Doubling Point Range Lights were built in 1898 to guide vessels navigating the Kennebec River’s tricky bends. This active navigational station features two octagonal wooden towers—a distinctive design uncommon among American lighthouses. The front and rear range lights work in tandem, helping mariners align their approach through the narrow channel.

The lights remain active Coast Guard aids to navigation but are not open to the public for climbing. Visitors can view the towers from the nearby road and shoreline. Golden hour and foggy mornings offer the best photography conditions.
