This historic covered bridge, constructed in 1875, showcases the classic Burr arch truss design that defined Pennsylvania bridge-building in the 19th century. The Burr arch combines a multiple kingpost truss with wooden arches, creating both strength and the iconic covered bridge silhouette.

Current Status: Permanently closed to all traffic and pedestrians.

Visiting Tips: View and photograph from the roadside only—do not attempt to enter the structure. Early morning light works best for photography, casting warm tones on the weathered wooden siding. The surrounding rural Schuylkill County landscape provides excellent backdrop opportunities. Check local conditions before visiting, as access roads may be seasonal.
