Standing sentinel at the mouth of the Housatonic River since 1822, Stratford Point Light is one of Connecticut’s oldest lighthouses. This historic beacon guided mariners through Long Island Sound for over two centuries and remains an active aid to navigation today.

The lighthouse is notable for its enduring presence and picturesque waterfront setting, though the tower is not open to public climbing or interior tours. Photographers capture the best shots during golden hour, with dramatic lighting at sunrise over the Sound.
