Standing sentinel on Fayerweather Island in Connecticut since 1808, Black Rock Harbor Light is one of the oldest lighthouses on Long Island Sound. This historic stone tower guided mariners safely into Black Rock Harbor for over a century before being decommissioned.

Notable Features: The lighthouse’s octagonal design and scenic island setting make it a photographer’s favorite, particularly at golden hour when warm light reflects off the Sound.

Visitor Information: The tower is not open to the public, and climbing is not permitted. However, visitors can view the lighthouse from Seaside Park or kayak around Fayerweather Island for closer views.
