Green Bay Harbor Entrance Light

Standing guard at the mouth of the Fox River since 1935, the Green Bay Harbor Entrance Light guides vessels navigating the busy port waters of Green Bay, Wisconsin. This Art Deco-era steel tower replaced earlier navigational aids as shipping traffic increased along the bay. Still an active aid to navigation maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard, the lighthouse is not open to the public and cannot be climbed, but it remains a striking sight from the shoreline. The best photography conditions come during golden hour, when warm light reflects off the water. Nearby, visitors can explore the National Railroad Museum, Bay Beach Amusement Park, and the scenic Fox River Trail.
