Baileys Harbor Range Front Light

Built in 1870, the Baileys Harbor Range Front Light is one of two range lights that once guided ships safely into Baileys Harbor along Door County’s Lake Michigan shore. This squat, white cylindrical tower worked in tandem with its rear range partner — sailors aligned the two lights to navigate the narrow channel. Now decommissioned, the lighthouse is no longer active and is not open to the public, though visitors can view and photograph it from the surrounding grounds. Golden hour light on the white tower against the harbor makes sunrise and sunset ideal for photography.
