Standing watch over the northern Lake Michigan shoreline near the small village of Naubinway, this active lighthouse continues to guide mariners through the Upper Peninsula’s coastal waters. The light marks the approach to Naubinway Harbor, a historically important fishing community along US-2.

Though not open to the public for climbing or interior tours, the lighthouse can be viewed and photographed from the shoreline. Golden hour during summer evenings offers the best photography conditions, with the light silhouetted against Lake Michigan sunsets.
