Built in 1831, the Old St. Marks Lighthouse stands as one of Florida’s earliest navigational aids, guiding mariners through the shallow waters where the St. Marks River meets Apalachee Bay. The original tower suffered storm damage and was eventually replaced, but the historic structure remains a compelling piece of Gulf Coast heritage.
