Menominee Pier Light

Menominee Pier Light

Lake Michigan · Michigan

Standing guard at the harbor entrance in Menominee, Michigan, the Menominee Pier Light has guided mariners since 1887. This active navigational aid sits at the end of the north pier, where the Menominee River meets Green Bay on Lake Michigan. Its striking red steel tower and catwalk make it one of the most photogenic pier lights along the Great Lakes.

The lighthouse is not open to the public, but visitors can walk the pier for excellent views. Golden hour and winter ice formations offer the best photography opportunities. Nearby, explore Menominee’s historic waterfront district, Victory Park, and the neighboring city of Marinette, Wisconsin, just across the river.
