Kevich Light – Grafton, Wisconsin
Built in 1981, Kevich Light is a privately constructed decorative lighthouse located in Grafton, Wisconsin, along the Milwaukee River. Unlike Great Lakes navigational beacons, this light was built as a personal project, giving it a unique charm among Wisconsin’s lighthouse enthusiasts. The tower remains an active light and a recognizable local landmark, though it is not open to the public and cannot be climbed.
Photographers will find the best light during golden hour, when warm tones contrast against the tower’s structure. Early fall offers the added bonus of colorful foliage along the riverbank. Nearby, visitors can explore downtown Grafton’s shops, the Ozaukee Interurban Trail, and the scenic Lake Michigan shoreline just minutes east.
