This relatively modern covered bridge was constructed in 1986, making it one of Ohio’s newer covered bridges. Built to serve the rural community of Pierpont Township, it demonstrates that the tradition of covered bridge construction continued well into the late 20th century in Ashtabula County—home to the largest collection of covered bridges in Ohio.
