Built in 1829 along the Hudson River in Stuyvesant, New York, this historic lighthouse is one of the oldest surviving examples of its kind on the river. The modest tower once guided vessels through a particularly treacherous stretch of water where shifting sandbars posed constant danger to commercial traffic.

Now decommissioned, the light is no longer active and is not open to the public, so visitors cannot climb the tower. It can be viewed from nearby roads and the riverbank. Golden hour provides the best photography, especially at sunset when the tower is backlit against the Hudson.
