Perched on the scenic bluffs of Watch Hill in Westerly, Rhode Island, this historic lighthouse has guided mariners since 1808. The original wooden tower was replaced by the current granite structure in 1856, which continues to serve as an active aid to navigation today.
Watch Hill Light is notable for its picturesque setting overlooking Block Island Sound and its association with one of New England’s most charming Victorian seaside villages. The lighthouse grounds are not open to the public, but visitors can enjoy excellent views from nearby Watch Hill Beach.
