Rising from the waters of Plymouth Bay, Duxbury Pier Light has guided mariners since 1871. This distinctive cast-iron sparkplug-style lighthouse stands on a concrete caisson, marking the channel entrance to Duxbury and Plymouth harbors.

The lighthouse earned the nickname “Bug Light” from locals due to its compact, insect-like appearance against the bay. It remains an active aid to navigation maintained by the Coast Guard.

Visitor Access: The lighthouse is not open to the public and can only be viewed from the water or shoreline.
