Perched on the rugged Keweenaw Peninsula shoreline in Ahmeek, Michigan, Sand Hills Light has guided mariners since 1919. The square yellow-brick lighthouse is one of the last staffed lights built on the Great Lakes, distinguished by its attached keeper’s quarters and striking architectural style that blends function with early 20th-century craftsmanship.
