Pearl Harbor EntranceRange Rear Light
Hawaii
This historic range light once guided naval vessels safely through the narrow channel into Pearl Harbor, one of America’s most significant military harbors. Paired with a front range light, the rear light helped ships maintain proper alignment when entering the harbor. The light is no longer active and the site is not open to the public, as it sits within restricted military grounds.
Though inaccessible for climbing or close-up visits, photographers can capture distant views from nearby vantage points, with golden hour offering the best light against the harbor backdrop. Visitors to the area should explore the nearby USS Arizona Memorial, Battleship Missouri, and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum — all within the Pearl Harbor National Memorial complex.
