This historic range light once guided naval vessels safely through the narrow entrance channel into Pearl Harbor, one of America’s most storied military harbors. Paired with a rear range light, the two beacons worked in alignment to keep ships on course through the channel’s precise navigational corridor.

No longer active, the light stands as a quiet relic of Pearl Harbor’s extensive maritime infrastructure. The site is not open to the public, and climbing is not permitted. Early morning offers the best photography light, with the harbor and Ko’olau Mountains as backdrop.
