The centerpiece of the park is Halfway Lake, a seven-acre impoundment fed by cold mountain streams. A network of hiking trails winds through the surrounding hills, ranging from easy lakeside strolls to steeper climbs along the ridgelines that reward with views of the Bald Eagle State Forest, which surrounds the park on all sides.
