Dispersed camping is permitted on adjacent BLM lands, though the wayside itself functions primarily as a day-use area. Expect heavy summer traffic, particularly from mid-June through August when the Denali Highway is fully open. The remote location and dramatic Alaskan landscape make this an excellent spot for photography, especially during fall colors in late August and September.
