Marrowstone Point Light
Fort Flagler State Park · Washington
Standing on the northeastern tip of Marrowstone Island in Washington’s Puget Sound, this historic lighthouse has guided mariners since 1888. Originally a fog signal station, the light was added to help vessels navigate the treacherous currents of Admiralty Inlet. The compact structure remains an active aid to navigation managed by the U.S. Coast Guard.
While the lighthouse is not open to the public, visitors can view it from nearby beaches and trails. Golden hour and overcast days produce the best photography, with dramatic water and mountain backdrops. Nearby, Fort Flagler Historical State Park offers camping, hiking, and military history, while the charming village of Nordland provides local dining and kayaking opportunities.
