Standing in Bellefonte, Delaware, this active rear range light was built in 1919 to guide ships along the Delaware River. Range lights work in pairs — mariners align the rear and front lights to stay safely within the navigation channel. The skeletal steel tower remains an active aid to navigation maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard.

The light is not open to the public, so visitors cannot climb the tower. It can be viewed and photographed from nearby roads. Late afternoon offers the best light for photography, with golden hour illuminating the tower against the river backdrop.
