Rising from the waters off Norwalk, Connecticut, Greens Ledge Light has guided mariners since 1902. This distinctive cast-iron sparkplug-style lighthouse sits on a concrete caisson foundation, a design typical of its era for exposed offshore locations.

The lighthouse remains an active navigational aid, its automated light continuing to warn vessels of the dangerous rocky ledge beneath. While not open to public climbing, Greens Ledge Light offers excellent photography opportunities from boat tours departing Sheffield Island or Norwalk Harbor. Golden hour and foggy mornings produce particularly striking images.
