Grand Lake St. Marys Lighthouse(aka: Northwood Light)
Ohio
Rising from the shores of Ohio’s largest inland lake, the Grand Lake St. Marys Lighthouse has guided boaters since 1923. Located in Celina, Ohio, this charming active lighthouse stands as a beloved landmark along the lake’s northern shoreline. Originally built to aid navigation on the busy recreational waters, the Northwood Light remains a working beacon to this day.
The lighthouse is not open to the public for climbing, but it offers excellent photo opportunities from the surrounding shoreline, particularly at sunrise and sunset when light reflects off the lake. Golden hour in autumn provides especially dramatic shots.
Nearby, visitors can explore Grand Lake St. Marys State Park, enjoy fishing and boating, or stroll through downtown Celina’s waterfront shops and restaurants.
