Clark Mountain Camp

Clark Mountain Camp is located on the southern end of the Clark Mountain Range. It is also within the Clark Mountain Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC). The site contains several picnic tables, a dual pit cooking grill and a parking area. The Clark Mountain area has a record of aboriginal occupation spanning a period of over 4,000 years. The area is also known for its mining history. The rugged terrain, variety of vegetation, and degree of color contrast contributed to Clark Mountain’s rating of outstanding scenic quality. Mule deer and desert bighorn sheep can also be found throughout the area.
