This historic covered bridge has spanned its Chester County crossing for over 150 years, showcasing the elegant Burr truss-arch design that combines a sturdy kingpost truss with graceful wooden arches. Constructed in 1865, the bridge served local farming communities and remains one of Pennsylvania’s treasured survivors from the covered bridge era.
Today, the bridge carries light vehicle traffic, allowing visitors to experience a genuine drive through history. The weathered red siding and shadowed interior create excellent photography opportunities, especially during autumn foliage season.
