Perched on the rocky shoreline near Captain Cook, Hawaii, Napoopoo Light has guided mariners along the Kona Coast since 1922. This modest automated beacon marks the southern end of Kealakekua Bay, one of the most historically significant sites in the Hawaiian Islands — where Captain James Cook met his end in 1779.
