Big Elk Creek State Park

Tucked into the rolling hills of Chester County, Big Elk Creek State Park is one of Pennsylvania’s newest additions to the state park system, established in 2022. Spanning 1,712 acres of preserved landscape, the park protects a significant stretch of Big Elk Creek and the surrounding woodlands that define this corner of southeastern Pennsylvania.

As a recently established park, Big Elk Creek offers a quieter, less-trafficked experience compared to the state’s more well-known destinations.
