What was once the historic Fort Nathaniel Greene, the park is now a public recreation area and campground that offers a range of activities for visitors to enjoy.

With 182 campsites available, including designated sites for RVs, standard, and tent-only sites, there is plenty of space for everyone. Whether you’re looking to hike, bike, fish, or simply relax by the beach, Fishermen’s Memorial State Park is waiting for you.

Fort Adams State Park

Fort Wetherill State Park is a hidden gem in Rhode Island that offers visitors an array of recreational activities. The park is located on the southeastern tip of Conanicut Island and occupies over 60 acres of land.

History buffs will enjoy exploring the park’s former military structures, which were once used to protect Narragansett Bay during World War II. Nowadays, visitors can picnic, hike, fish, and even scuba dive in the waters surrounding the park.

However, one thing to note is that the fort itself is almost completely covered in graffiti, which some may find disappointing. Nevertheless, Fort Wetherill State Park is a great spot to spend a sunny day with family and friends.

Goddard Memorial State Park

Goddard Memorial State Park is a marvelous public recreation area in Warwick, Rhode Island. The park occupies an expansive 490 acres along the picturesque shores of Greenwich Cove and Greenwich Bay.

Once the estate of Civil War officer and Rhode Island politician Robert Goddard, the land was donated to the state by his children in 1927 as a memorial to their father.

The park offers something for every taste, from a nine-hole golf course to an equestrian area with 18 miles of bridle trails, a swimming beach, canoeing area, picnicking facilities, game fields, and even a performing arts center.

It’s a beautiful spot to spend a day or even a weekend, and we highly recommend checking it out!

Lincoln Woods State Park is one of the most popular state parks in Rhode Island, and for good reason. With its unique terrain of giant glacial boulders and stony landscapes, it’s a sight to behold.

The park offers a wide range of recreational activities, including a freshwater beach, extensive picnicking facilities, trails for equestrians, mountain bikers, snowmobilers, and hikers, boating, ice skating, and fishing areas and game fields.

If you’re looking for a bit of adventure, the park is also known for bouldering, a type of rock climbing that doesn’t require ropes or harnesses. And if you’re not an expert, no worries – the park offers kayak and canoe rentals and lessons for those who want to explore Olney Pond.

Rocky Point State Park is a gorgeous spot on Narragansett Bay that offers visitors a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of Rhode Island. The park has a rich history as a public attraction, dating back to the mid-1800’s when it was known as Rocky Point Amusement Park.

Although the amusement park closed in 1994, the land remained abandoned for years until the city and state purchased it in stages between 2008 and 2013. Since reopening in 2014 as a state park, Rocky Point has become a popular destination for both locals and tourists.

With its walking trails, picnic areas, and extraordinary views of the bay, it’s easy to see why so many people love spending time at Rocky Point State Park.

World War II Memorial State Park
