Trinity Shoal Light stands in the waters off the Louisiana coast, once serving as a vital navigational aid for vessels navigating the treacherous shallow waters of Trinity Shoal. The lighthouse guided mariners through one of the Gulf of Mexico’s more dangerous passages, where shifting sandbars posed constant threats to shipping traffic.

Now deactivated, the structure remains a striking sight rising from the open water. The light is not open to the public, and visitors cannot climb the tower. It can best be viewed and photographed by boat, with golden hour and calm seas in fall and winter offering ideal conditions.

Nearby attractions include the coastal communities of Cameron Parish, excellent birding along the Creole Nature Trail, and Gulf fishing charters.
