Perched on the western shore of San Juan Island, Washington, Lime Kiln Light has guided maritime traffic through Haro Strait since 1919. Named for the lime kilns that once operated nearby, this compact lighthouse is one of the last constructed in Washington State. It remains an active navigational aid operated by the U.S. Coast Guard, though the tower itself is not open to the public for climbing.
