Standing on Florida’s storied Space Coast since 1848, Cape Canaveral Light is one of the state’s oldest surviving lighthouse structures. Originally built to guide mariners along the treacherous Atlantic coastline, the tower was eventually decommissioned and replaced by a newer light nearby. Its location within the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station makes it inaccessible to the general public, adding to its mystique.

The lighthouse is not open for climbing. Photographers can best capture the tower from nearby public vantage points during golden hour, when the warm Florida light contrasts beautifully against the historic structure.

Nearby attractions include the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Canaveral National Seashore, and Jetty Park, where rocket launches regularly light up the sky.
