Cranberry Isles, Maine

Standing sentinel since 1828, Baker Island Light is one of Maine’s oldest surviving lighthouses. This historic beacon marks the southern entrance to Frenchman Bay, guiding mariners safely past the rugged shores of Acadia’s outer islands.

The light remains active today, operated by the U.S. Coast Guard. While the lighthouse is not open to public tours or climbing, visitors can appreciate its classic New England charm from the water aboard scenic boat cruises departing from Northeast Harbor.
