Rising above the sandy shores of Jupiter, Florida, this historic red-brick lighthouse has guided mariners since 1860. Designed by Lieutenant George Meade—who later commanded Union forces at Gettysburg—the tower stands as one of the oldest structures in Southeast Florida. Its light remains active today, a working beacon along the Atlantic coast.

The lighthouse is not currently open to public climbing. Photographers will find the best light during golden hour, when the warm tones of the brick tower glow against the coastal sky, particularly striking from the nearby waterfront trails.
