Tree Point Light, established in 1904, marks the southern entrance to Revillagigedo Channel along Alaska’s Inside Passage. The lighthouse was built to guide vessels navigating the narrow waterways of southeastern Alaska, a critical corridor for shipping and fishing traffic. Its art deco concrete tower replaced the original wooden structure and continues to serve as an active aid to navigation maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard.

The light is not open to the public, accessible only by boat or floatplane in this remote stretch of the Tongass National Forest. The best photography conditions come during long summer twilight from May through July. Nearby attractions include Ketchikan’s totem pole parks, Misty Fjords National Monument, and excellent wildlife viewing along the channel.
